Attorney Jeff Crawford joined forces with Walker Texas Lawyer in January 2008 and the firm became Walker and Crawford. Jeff was born and raised in Houston, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, graduating with cum laude honors in 1994. Following undergraduate studies, Mr. Crawford chose to study law at South Texas College of Law, where he earned his degree and became licensed to practice law in 1999. Following law school, Mr. Crawford first accepted employment with a prominent Texas defense firm and spent a considerable period of time representing insurance companies and corporate clients. Eventually, Mr. Crawford discovered that, instead of representing corporations, his passions and talents would be put to better use representing individuals who lack the resources and voice to fight for themselves. Jeff Crawford is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice in all state courts. He is also licensed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Mr. Crawford has been a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association since 2001 and has served a three-year term as a Board of Advocates Director for that organization. He has been a featured speaker on the subject of voire dire at trial lawyer conferences, and also currently holds, or has formerly held, membership with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
