Back The Badge 2010

Once again a tremendous annual success, this year’s “Back the Badge Motorcycle Ride” was held on Saturday, April 10th, in Houston, Texas. Back the Badge is an event that raises money for The 100 Club, an organization that provides assistance to dependents of certified peace officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty while protecting our lives and property. The Club also provides law enforcement agencies with life-protecting equipment that cannot be secured through budgeted funds.

Established in Houston in 1953, The 100 Club has developed into over a half-century of support for law enforcement and firefighters not only Harris County, but also in seventeen surrounding counties including Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller and Washington counties.

Back the Badge was established by Outlaw Dave, radio personality and host of The Outlaw Dave Show, along with media representative, Bryan Miller. Recognizing that our law enforcement officers and firefighters need more support, Dave and Bryan knew they could rely upon local motorcycle club members and bike enthusiasts to step up and support this worthy cause. As expected, and despite rainy weather, a large group of riders gathered at San Jacinto Harley Davidson. After eating a hearty breakfast provided at Hooters next door, they embarked upon their journey to Sam Houston Raceway Park.

The law firm of Walker & Crawford, P.C. (WalkerTexasLawyer.com), always there to support law enforcement, firefighters, and the community at large, was proud to help sponsor the event. As said by motorcyclists across the State of Texas, ” Walker Texas Lawyer-don’t ride without him!”
